Alex: Hello everyone and welcome back to ClearTalk English! My name is Alex.
Emma: And I am Emma! We are so happy you are here with us today.
Alex: Today, we have a very exciting and fun topic for all of you.
Emma: Yes, we are going on a virtual trip to the zoo today!
Alex: A visit to the zoo is a wonderful way to practice speaking English.
Emma: You see many colorful signs, read short descriptions, and talk about incredible animals.
Alex: Emma, tell me, what is the first animal you want to visit today?
Emma: Oh, that is easy! I always run directly to the penguin pool.
Alex: Penguins are fantastic! I love watching them waddle and dive into the cold water.
Emma: They look like little birds wearing tiny black and white suits.
Alex: They really do! And for me, I always head to the big cat sanctuary.
Emma: The lions and tigers? They are so majestic and powerful!
Alex: Exactly. Hearing a lion roar from across the park is truly unforgettable.
Emma: Today, we will help you describe all these wonderful creatures using easy words.
Alex: We will learn simple nouns, helpful adjectives, and common sentences used at the zoo.
Emma: Let us start by entering through the main ticket gate right now.
Alex: When you walk inside, the first thing you see is a large park map.
Emma: The map shows every animal enclosure so visitors do not get lost.
Alex: That is our first special word today: enclosure. An enclosure is a protected space.
Emma: It is the safe area where an animal lives inside the zoo grounds.
Alex: For example, the monkeys have a tall enclosure filled with ropes and green trees.
Emma: And the polar bears have a cool enclosure with ice and deep water.
Alex: Look at this information board right beside the wooden fence, Emma.
Emma: It says, Welcome to the African Savanna exhibit.
Alex: It explains that a giraffe is the tallest mammal on our planet.
Emma: Let us pause on that word: mammal. That is an important scientific word.
Alex: A mammal is an animal that gives birth to live babies and feeds them milk.
Emma: Humans are mammals, dogs are mammals, and big giraffes are mammals too.
Alex: Look up there! That giraffe is stretching its long neck to reach the top leaves.
Emma: Wow, its neck is so tall and its tongue is purple!
