Alex: Hello, everyone! Welcome to ClearTalk English, your friendly place to practice everyday English speaking.
Emma: Hi, everyone! We are so excited to have you with us for today's episode.
Alex: Today, we are talking about a wonderful topic that everyone loves: our families and our pets!
Emma: Yes, when you meet new friends, you almost always talk about who you live with.
Alex: That is so true. People love to ask, 'Do you have any brothers or sisters?'
Emma: Or they ask, 'Do you have any pets at home?'
Alex: And our two lives are actually very different when it comes to family.
Emma: They really are! Alex comes from a very big, lively household.
Alex: Yes, my house is always loud, busy, and full of lots of energy.
Emma: While I grew up in a very quiet, calm home with just my parents.
Alex: We will share our stories and teach you great words to describe your own home.
Emma: You will learn simple adjectives for personality and appearance too.
Alex: By the end of this episode, you will feel completely ready to talk about your loved ones.
Emma: Whether you have a giant family, a small family, or five furry animals!
Alex: So sit back, relax, and let us get started with today's conversation.
Emma: Alex, why do you not start by telling us about your family members?
Alex: I would love to. In my family, there are five people in total.
Alex: There is my father, my mother, me, and two siblings.
Emma: And who are your siblings? Are they older or younger than you?
Alex: I have one older brother named David and one younger sister named Lily.
Emma: Oh, so you are the middle child! How does that feel?
Alex: It was very busy growing up! My older brother David is very tall and athletic.
Alex: He is thirty-three years old, and he loves to play basketball.
Emma: And what about your younger sister, Lily? What is she like?
Alex: Lily is twenty-four years old. She is creative, kind, and very funny.
Alex: She has long brown hair and wears glasses, just like me.
Emma: That sounds like a wonderful group. Do you have a favorite relative who visits often?
Alex: Yes! My favorite relative is my Uncle Robert. He always tells hilarious jokes.
Alex: A relative is simply any family member, like an aunt, uncle, or cousin.
Emma: Now, my family story is completely different from yours, Alex.
