Alex: Hello everyone, and welcome back to ClearTalk English! I am Alex.
Emma: And I am Emma! We are so happy to have you with us today.
Alex: Today, we are talking about a topic that touches everyone: our living spaces.
Emma: Yes! Look around your room right now. Do you have too many things?
Alex: Many people have messy desks, crowded closets, and boxes full of old stuff.
Emma: That was definitely me just a few days ago, Alex.
Alex: Really? Did you have a hard time finding things in your room?
Emma: I could not even close my bedroom closet door properly!
Alex: That is why today's episode is all about how to declutter your space easily.
Emma: We will show you how letting go of things can bring you peace.
Alex: And we will teach you useful English words for talking about organizing.
Emma: It is going to be a fun, practical, and helpful conversation.
Alex: So grab a cup of tea, sit back, and let us begin!
Emma: Let us start with my big weekend project: my closet overhaul!
Alex: Tell us all about it, Emma. What made you finally take action?
Emma: Every morning, I felt stressed just choosing an outfit for work.
Alex: That is so common. When we have too many choices, our brain gets tired.
Emma: Exactly. I had jackets from six years ago that did not even fit me.
Alex: Why do you think we keep clothes we never wear?
Emma: I think we always tell ourselves: maybe I will wear this next year!
Alex: Yes! The famous 'just in case' excuse. We all do that.
Emma: So on Saturday morning, I decided to do a complete wardrobe clear-out.
Alex: A wardrobe clear-out means taking everything out and sorting through it.
Emma: I placed every single shirt, dress, and pair of pants on my bed.
Alex: That must have looked like a giant mountain of fabric!
Emma: It was huge! But seeing the pile made me realize the real problem.
Alex: Seeing all your possessions at once helps you see what you actually own.
Emma: I made three simple piles: keep, donate, and throw away.
Alex: That three-pile method is a classic rule among organization experts.
Emma: For every item, I asked myself: did I wear this in the past twelve months?
